About The Show

Music and multi-media are the tools Kaufmann used for more than twenty years, thus blending his heartfelt original compositions with recognizable cover tunes. His imaginative music is enhanced by a compelling video presentation, which includes a steady flow of educational information and captivating images of visualized natural beauty.

Along with his “story-teller style” delivery, Jack displays an impressive array of musical talents; powerful vocals, flute, guitar, keyboards, and percussion. He has designed shows that target all age groups from elementary to high school through college and adult. Experience why a feature article in the Chicago Tribune’s Tempo section described Jack as “a high energy rock ‘n roller …an enviro-tainer who draws on vast creative resources to teach and inspire…”

Jack was honored with the “Outstanding Environmental Educator” award by the Illinois Recycling Association!

In addition to teaching environmental health courses at both Illinois State University and Lincoln College, Jack has also been quite busy “educating on the road.” Since 1990, he has performed at over 2,000 schools and events – reaching an approximate audience of over 750,000 people!

In the 1980’s Jack earned two degrees from Illinois State University; a B.S. in Environmental Health and an M.S. in Health Education. While working on his masters degree Jack also became the manager of a county-wide recycling facility. It was during this period he became passionate about pursuing a career in environmental education.

And based on this impressive resume, Jack has become quite successful in merging his two greatest passions – music and a love for nature and the environment!
